Gary Job Corps offers hands-on career technical training as well as academic training assisting with high school equivalency (HSE) or high school diploma (HSD) for youth 16-24 years of age. Job Corps offers career planning, on-the-job training, job placement, residential housing, food service, driver’s education, health and dental care, nutritional classes, a bi-weekly basic living allowance and clothing allowance. No cost to students or families with free housing.

A tuition-free, 10-week education program for women with life- and job-skills training, Bible study. Each woman receives a mentor who works with her for at least 6 months after the course is over. Held at the Baptist Church in San Marcos, with support provided from other churches and individuals. Transportation, a meal, and childcare are provided. Fall and Spring sessions include 12 women each.

Sixteen computer workstations offering high-speed Internet access are available to library visitors. Workstations are checked out from the circulation desk for one-hour periods. Wi-Fi access is available for library patrons who desire to utilize their own laptop or handheld computers within the library.
