Since the dawn of the industrial age, chemical companies have convinced American consumers that the only way to get rid of harmful insects is to saturate the environment with man-made chemicals. Overuse of chemicals can be harmful to the environment, and the cause of much sickness and disease. Chemical companies deny any such link, despite the fact that more and more consumer are becoming sensitive to the cleaning solutions, dyes, perfumes, and other compounds.

Thankfully, there is an alternative: Natural insect control is free from pesticides and other harmful chemicals. Creatures such as frogs, ladybugs, and Nematodes are a boon to the Hill Country garden area as they dine on pesky insects while you are going about your normal duties.
