We all know that living in the Hill Country Ranches area means traveling long distances by car. At times, it can be a frustrating process, especially when we are stuck in Austin or San Antonio’s daily traffic jams.

With the price of gasoline going up every day, it’s important to know just how much you are spending to get to work every day. But that can be a difficult number to come up with on your own. Especially if you have to factor in the costs of insurance, wear and tear, and other variables.

Enter the wonders of modern techology: Try the handy commuting calculator at the link below and at long last, see just how much you are spending driving to work. The answer just might suprise you. Then, read some of the stories of other people that have to spend hours each day just getting back and forth to their place of employment.

  3. Whoa Boy! I never realized how much time and money was involved with my commute into Austin. Now that gas has gone sky high, I sure wish my company would let me telecommute. How are people going to make a living paying for $10 a gallon gas? Thanks for the post and the useful calculator!
